4/10/18 A physically mature 6-foot-4, O'Reilly is a versatile and talented prospect. The frame suggests that third base is his likely position in the future, though he looked more than capable at second in this outing. The lateral movements were adequate and there is more than enough arm there. At the plate, O'Reilly knocked in two runs with an opposite field single. The stance is balanced and slightly open, with loose hands and a level-up swing. As he continues developing, he should continue turning some of his raw power into game power. Notre Dame is getting a good one.

4/18/17 First look at the Notre Dame commit on the mound. Fastball sat 84-86 and he got his velo pretty easy. Also featured a split-change at 76-78 with a bit of tumble. Right-handed hitter continues to show a solid approach at the plate, staying inside the baseball with an easy stroke and attacking pitches he can handle.
4/7/17 Right-handed hitting Notre Dame commit hits from a slightly open, balanced stance. Reached base both plate appearances against an upper-80s/low-90s RHP, staying through a fastball away and lining a single down the first base line his first trip, and then drawing a walk his second time up. Solid defensive actions, although his 6-foot-3, 185-pound frame is more reminiscent of Jeff Kent than is typical of someone playing second base (where he was on this day), so a move to a corner could certainly be in the offing.
