Notes

Comments

2/12/23

Physical: Strong, ultra-athletic 6-foot, 180-pound frame. 6.87 runner in the 60YD.

Offensively: LHH. Taller, slightly open stance, as the hands work upright and fluid. Utilized a simple leg-lift stride to initiate the swing through a vertical path with lift towards finish. Big time bat-speed for size, able to run the ball out of the yard to RCF gap. Notched a T101MPH exit velo at 362FT; a 2024 #MLBDraft name to know.

Defensively: The primary shortstop featured range in either direction using a quick first step and multiple routes. Attacked over the toes with lower posture and 85MPH arm-strength across the dirt. Feel to make plays on the run while changing angles.

2/20/22

Physical: Highly athletic 6-foot, 175lb frame with upside. Room to fill and improved 6.93 runner.

Offensively: LHH - Balanced, slightly open stance, as the hands started pre-set at the shoulder. Good position to hit and quiet through the load, initiating the swing using a direct stride to the pitcher. Flat path towards a level two-handed finish, promoting a line-drive approach during his round. Recorded a 95 mph bat-exit velocity at 352 foot distance on his best barrel, also grabbing a 75% sweet spot rate. Keeps getting more confident at the plate.

Defensively: The middle infielder showed the glove-hand early and got to the right side of the ball early in the route. Utilized a glove-tap for rhythm and released deliberately out in front from a H ¾ slot up to 83 mph from his position. Mostly higher posture after the touch, shuffles for momentum, made all the plays.

2/06/21

Physical: Duke Commit; Lean and athletic 5-foot-11, 165-pound frame with advanced feel for his body. 7.34 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: LHH - Balanced even stance with increased control at the plate; minor rhythm in the hands starting at ear height. Utilized a leg lift and a little shoulder turn inwards for a “gather feel” in the load allowing the hands to play fluidly through a connected, slightly uphill path into the hitting zone. Generated an impressive 41% line drive rate during batting practice with noticeable juice to the RCF gap for extra bases; 316 foot peak batted ball distance. Registered a peak bat-exit velocity of 89 mph per Trackman Baseball and featured high level bat to ball skills in the box, which transfers over to game action evidenced by a strong track record of standout in-game performances on the national travel ball scene.

Defensively: The primary middle infielder worked right to left in the approach with good momentum over the toes and a soft glove hand funneling the baseball into the body with consistency. Flashed above-average range especially to the glove side while making plays on the run look smooth with increased athleticism. Average pace at times from the left side, projects as a solid second baseman at the moment with a 72 mph arm strength across the diamond.

2/09/20

5-foot-10, 145-pounder has added three inches and 15 pounds to his frame in the past year. The left-handed hitter starts from a square stance and initiates his swing with a quiet lift-and-replace stride. Showcased balance throughout with hands that work extremely well through contact. Displayed an advanced feel for the barrel and an ability to barrel the baseball routinely. Registered a bat exit velocity of 82 mph and ran a 7.50 60-yard dash. Solid fielding mechanics and accurate 75 mph arm strength defensively will improve through physical maturity and strength gains. Definite high follow in this class.

3/10/19

5-foot-7, 130-pound left-handed hitter starts with a square stance and utilizes a leg-lift to initiate his swing. Displayed advanced feel for his swing while consistently barreling the ball during batting practice. Registered a 73 mph bat-exit velocity and ran an 8.00 60-yard dash. Showcased active footwork to record accurate throws of 64 mph across the infield.
