Physical: Strong 5-foot-11, 205lb build with athleticism. 7.38 runner in the 60YD.
Offensively: RHH. Upright, narrow stance, as the barrel works with rhythm to begin. Utilized a deliberate leg-hang stride to initiate a high-intent swing through a flat path into the hitting zone. Plenty of controlled weight-shift, which creates loud XBH to the pull-side gap. Recorded a T96MPH exit velocity at 334FT.
Defensively: The third baseman featured active feet and beat the ball to spots. Stayed light on his toes for an advanced throwing arm across the dirt. Slid to the OF and placed top 3 in positional velo at 91MPH.
Pitching: RHP. Fast tempo; compact delivery. Gets the most out of his backside and finishes with a lightning quick arm. Power H ¾ slot on 88-90MPH FB and sharp two-plane 75-77MPH CB, up to 2400+. Also mixed improved, fading 81-82MPH CH with killed spin. Feel for three pitches.
7/27/22
Physical: Stocky, filled-out 5-foot-11, 192lb build with a power profile.
Pitching: RHP. Starts off the middle of the rubber; above-average tempo and mound presence with a compact delivery that drives down the slope. Strong legs create some extra life on the FB at 86-91, T92 mph (H ¾, 2124) with the feel to spin a sharp 73-75 mph SL for swing/miss (2558). Went two scoreless, five total K’s, eventually mixing in a fading 79-80 mph later in the outing.
6/21/22
Physical: 5-foot-11, 192 pounds; Athletic, proportional build. 7.21 runner in the 60. Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet shoulder width apart; has a pre-pitch bat waggle. Loads straight back with a moderate leg kick for timing. Slides weight forward pre-contact. while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a direct swing path with a one-handed finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 93 MPH via Trackman. Defensively: Starts with a compact setup; uses prep hop while showing active feet. Hands are underneath the body while standing up during transfer. Moderate arm circle while using various arm slots. INF - 84 MPH. Pitching: Uses a glove side setup while using a side step. Belt high leg drive with shoulders outside the hips. Has a moderate stride while landing slightly open. Moderate arm swing while showing no restrictions; high 3/4 slot. Spins off 1B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of MPH, while sitting 86-88 MPH. SL: 72-73 MPH. CH: 76 MPH.
6/15/21
Physical: Athletic, projectable 5-foot-11, 172lb frame with two way-abilities evident. 7.22 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Narrow, upright stance with the hands above the shoulder, getting into the front side with weight shift and drift outwards towards the pitcher at the land; utilized a slightly uphill barrel path to enter the hitting zone with lift after impact. A barrel pump created rhythm and allowed him to be consistently on time, posting a bat-exit velocity of T87 mph via Trackman (67% fly ball rate). Found most success driving the ball from a powerful position through the LCF gap for extra-bases, working his way up to a 251 foot batted ball distance at his peak. Feel for extension and singles/doubles PWR at the moment.
Defensively: The third baseman showcased a good tempo, chopping the feet quickly before approaching at an event, bent position with the hands operating out in front, funneling inward. Adequate pace and released from a lengthy, strong H ¾ slot (81 mph) adding the ability to make plays on the run from different slots/quickness.
Pitching: RHP - Started off the middle of the rubber with the feet spread; pause at the side rocker and top of the stack showing off a balance position before gaining tilt into footstrike at H ¾, entering the zone at 78-80 mph (1857rpms AVG via Trackman) on the FB. Mixed a two-plane, swing/miss 64-66 mph CB flashing up to 18 inches of depth and 21 inches of horizontal shape, missing barrels when ahead in the count.
