2/16/14 Bowman was significantly down in velocity for good reason having competed in a district wrestling tournament the day before. The 6-foot-1, 175-pound righty was noticeably lighter than when we saw him 85-87 in September. On this day Bowman sat 77-81 while also commanding a 69 mph changeup.

Comments
9/8/13 Bowman showed very well, especially considering the fact that he is the quarterback for the Canton HS football team and has not picked up a baseball in nearly two months. Bowman showcased a strong, accurate arm from the outfield and the ability to barrel the baseball consistently in his round of batting practice. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-4 in game action at Mansfield University.
7/30/13 Bowman is a 6-foot-1, 170-pound prospect with a lot of potential. Bowman is raw at this point, but shows the makings of a power arm sitting 85-87 with an effective 75 mph changeup thrown at near fastball arm speed. Bowman's frame and strong lower half indicate that he has the potential to see 90 mph in the near future.
