6/17/15 Strong frame (6-foot-2, 200-pounds). Pitched out of a three-quarter slot with an easy delivery. Fastball at 83-84 showed late armside run. Change-up at 77-78 was firm with sink. Didn’t feature his slider at 70-73, but it showed some late action and depth.

6/17/15 6-foot-2, 200-pound right-handed hitter who is a solid prospect as a primary pitcher. Started from a square stance and strode slightly open. Kept head still and flashed some bat speed in BP, while a barrel wrap created some length. Showcased an 84-mph exit velocity and 80-mph arm strength during workout (ran FB up to 84 in game). Exhibited solid glove defensively.

1/17/10 Pence showed above average potential as a two-way prospect with a projectable 6-foot-2, 200-pound frame. The righty sat 82-84 from a 3/4 arm slot with a very quick arm action. His 77 mph changeup is thrown at near fastball arm speed and shows both fade and sink. Pence also commanded a 67 mph curveball with 11/5 rotation. The sophomore showed capable actions around the bag at first base with an accurate 83 mph arm across the diamond. The right-handed hitter showed extremely quick hands from a balanced, square stance. Pence flashed an 82 mph bat exit velocity and ran a 7.35 60-yard dash.
