6/14/22

Physical: Strong, projectable 6-foot, 180lb frame. 7.56 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH. Wider, athletic stance with the hands upright at the shoulder to begin. Utilized a simple lift and replace stride to initiate the swing through a flat path into the hitting zone. Deep turns, which produced plenty of space for the arms to work; recorded a T94 mph exit velocity with some rotational juice to the pull-side of the field. Notched a 359 foot distance via Trackman, backspinning up to at a 60% fly ball rate.

Defensively: The shortstop featured a hop in the prep-step, setting up with early glove-hand presentation at the fielding window. A powerful lower-half got activated at the touch, driving through towards the target from H ¾ slot (83 mph arm).

2/27/22

Physical: Strong 6-foot, 180lb frame with some athleticism. 8.05 runner in the 60.

Offensively: RHH - Wider, bent stance, as the hands set above the shoulder to begin. Utilized a short leg lift stride and cleared the hips to initiate the swing through a flat path into the hitting zone. Stayed above the ball, adjusting downward when needed, and recorded a T92 mph bat-exit velocity during a middle of the field, gap to gap approach. Highly efficient and repeated actions in the box; notched a 346 foot batted ball distance at his peak.

Defensively: The shortstop featured active feet and squared up to the ball at the window, fielding in front of the body. Funneled inward and maintained momentum to first base. Released in rhythm from a H ¾ slot (accurate, 76 mph arm). Able to change angles on the run.

Pitching: RHP - Stretch-only; good separation at footstrike and quick arm from a full, H ¾ arm circle. The FB pounded the zone at 81-82 mph, ride at times, and mixed a quality 74-76 mph CB for strikes with sharp tilt. A 75-77 mph straight-CH has shown flashes.
