Physical: Athletic, projectable 6-foot, 173lb frame. PSU Harrisburg commit; 6.92 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Balanced, even stane with some upright posture as the barrel started at a 45. Utilized a short leg lift stride to initiate the swing through a flat, lifted path towards a two-handed finish on the backside. Recorded a T94 mph bat-exit velocity with easy contact traits in the box, matched pitch plane early with a simple approach, hitting the ball where it was pitched. Moderate effort in the lower half; room for more.
Defensively: The middle infielder made all the plays with pace and a flat back at the fielding window. Left side appeal and enough arm strength to finish at 82 mph across the diamond. Able to throw accurately across his body.
Pitching: RHP. Repeated the delivery with the ability to hold the line down the slope. H ¾ slot at the release and pounded 80-82 mph for strikes. Added short, lateral biting 73-75 mph SL and quality 73-75 mph CH that faded out of the same window.
Physical: Lean, ultra-athletic 6-foot, 165lb frame with projection and feel for the game. 7.21 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: Switch-hitter - mirrored from both sides with a slightly open, balanced setup with calm hands starting loose on the shoulder. Utilized a short lift and replace stride out towards the pitcher allowing for a useful, flat path to operate with connection into the hitting zone. Stayed behind the ball and was able to shoot hard contact through the backside gap when pitched on the outer half. Mostly line drive approach at a 33% clip via Trackman, adding a T91 mph bat-exit velocity and occasional doubles power up to a near 300 foot batted ball distance during his batting practice round. Able to spray barrels with an on-time load and had confidence in getting to the front of the plate.
Defensively: The primary shortstop featured a bouncy hop in the “prep step” allowing for range in either direction. Approached with banana routes at times working right-left through the baseball and towards the target with his chest. Fielded cleanly off the middle/left side and funneled inward with pace, releasing from an accurate, high ¾ slot across the diamond (82 mph arm).
