2/12/17 Right-handed hitter with some strength in his 5-foot-11, 165-pound frame. Starts from an open stance and strides to slightly open. Base can get wide with weight into front hip early, forcing the swing to be mostly generated from his top half. Nonetheless, consistently found the barrel during his BP round and posted an 85 mph exit velocity. Ran a 7.06 60-yard dash. Can be a bit choppy defensively, but flashes athletic actions, especially when completing the slow roller play and with a loose slinger arm action (stay tuned next week for his pitcher evaluation) that generated easy 80 mph arm strength across the diamond with more assuredly in the tank.
1/28/17 5-foot-11, 165-pound two-way prospect flashed a developing skill set with raw athleticism in all that he does. The primary pitcher was especially impressive on the mound where he sat 80-82 showing significant cut action to his fastball with plenty more in the tank. His 77 mph slider shows similar action as his fastball with some depth on occasion. Also commanded a 76 mph changeup with significant 2-seam run. Right-handed hitter starts from an open stance and utilizes a short toe-tap stride to initiate his swing. Showcased 85 mph bat exit velocity with some present power. Displayed athletic actions with the ability to make throws from multiple arm angles at shortstop. Showcased 7.12 foot speed and active feet while making plays on the move.
