Physical: Solid and thickly built 6-foot, 170-pound frame with feel for his body. UMASS-Boston commit.
Pitching: LHP - Works from the stretch only off of the right side of the rubber, high leg lift with good sink into a strong backside and directional drive towards the plate, gets some downhill plane with good extension over the front side, high ¾ slot with a stab in the back. FB ranged from 77-80 mph with arm-side run, mixed in a tight curveball / slider combination at 68-70 / 72-74 with spins of 2250 rpm and 2364 … Both are putaway pitches and show slightly different shape keeping hitters off balance. Dropped in a solid fourth offering; a 73-74 mph CH with easy sell and deception at the plate. Advanced repertoire and won’t blow you away, but will mix speeds and command all parts of the zone.
