5-foot-5, 165-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and utilzes a lift-and-replace stride to begin. Showcased a middle of the field approach while consistently staying behind the baseball. Registered a bat exit velocity of 76 mph and ran an 8.13 60-yard dash. Athletic defender with a soft glove hand played through the baseball with accurate 77 mph arm strength across the diamond. Sat 78-80 from a high 3/4 arm slot with solid use of his lower half. Curveball was commanded at 69-71 with 11/5 rotation and changeup sat 62-66.
5-foot-5, 165-pound primary right-handed pitcher featured a standout bullpen session. Merced used a quick arm from a high 3/4 arm-slot to deliver 78-80 mph fastballs with arm-side-run. Demonstrated good feel for tight 69-72 mph curveballs that showed 11/5 rotation. His 62-65 mph changeups were thrown with good sell and had natural cut. Right-handed hitter begins with a square stance and utilizes a leg-lift stride to initiate his swing. Showcased a feel for all fields during batting practice as he recorded a 69 mph bat-exit-velocity. Used impressive footwork and smooth hands during defensive evaluations to register accurate throws of 78 mph across the infield. Ran an 8.03 60-yard dash.
