2/23/13 Adams turned in a respectable 4.40 home-to-first time for a 6-foot-4, 220-pound prospect. He showed capable defensive skills around the bag and a 76 mph arm across the infield. Adams had a very good round of batting practice squaring the baseball routinely and showing gap-to-gap power. His 91 mph bat exit velocity was one of the tops at the event. Adams sat 81-84 out of a high 3/4 arm slot with a fastball that showed late life and arm-side run. His 75 mph slider with late break was his best secondary pitch. Adams also commanded a 73 mph changeup and a 71 mph curveball in a very solid bullpen session. He will be a definite high follow as he continues to progress.
