Physical: Uber-projectable, XL 6-foot-4, 195lb frame. 7.33 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Slightly open, bent stance, as the hands began pre-set in a powerful position to hit. Utilized a short leg lift stride to initiate the swing through a slightly uphill path into the hitting zone. Smooth two-handed finish, which allowed for consistency to drive the ball to pull-side during his round. Hit behind the front leg and transferred weight properly, up to a T90 mph exit velo and 344 foot distance.
Defensively: The first baseman featured adequate feel around the bag with medium posture in the midsection. Chopped the feet and fielded evenly in the middle of his body. Shuffled the feet towards the target and reached back for 79 mph arm strength.
Pitching: RHP. Started from the left side of the rubber; quicker pace after the drop step, finding a higher leg lift before riding the back leg down the slope. H ¾ slot and some downward tilt on an 85-87 mph FB at 2500+rpms. Mixed sweeping 77-79 mph SL for strikes with advanced feel to leverage.
Physical: Imposing 6-foot-4, 195lb frame with lots of potential on the bump.
Offensively: RHH - Upright, open stance with timed up movements in the box. The righty utilized a leg-lift / barrel-tip operation to initiate the swing through a slightly uphill path into the hitting zone towards a two-handed finish. Recorded a loud 90 mph bat-exit velocity while staying within himself, though an 87 mph AVG showed the consistency present. High ceiling athlete.
Defensively: The first baseman displayed some range in either direction with low-effort movements. Fielded softly out in front and released accurately from a lower ¾ slot, saving his bullets for his ‘pen.
Pitching: RHP - The primary pitcher began off of the middle of the rubber with natural spin traits and good movement on a running 2-seamer. The FB ranged from 83-85 mph, using a confident, moderate paced delivery. Blocked off the front-side well and flashed a quick arm with good body control. Mixed a tight 76-78, T79 mph SL with wipeout action at times, late lateral break at 2400+ rpms.
