Physical: Strong, durable 6-foot, 180lb frame with an even-waisted build. 7.57 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Balanced, wide attack with the hands showing quick, controlled rhythm early. Calms down the movement before loading to a comfortable position back at the shoulder for launch coupled with a high leg lift stride, initiating the hands through a flat/accurate path into the hitting zone. Generated noticeable weight shift into a stiff front side yielding an impressive 40% line drive rate via Trackman Baseball. Operated with confidence from gap to gap, line to line in the approach, posing a natural feel for the barrel en route to a 95 mph bat-exit velocity. Ran the rotational acceleration scores up to near 20 G’s of force pointing towards good connection in the box from the right side.
Defensively: The primary backstop displayed a flexible, wide right knee down setup when receiving with an absorbing, soft glove hand at the catch point. Pop times ranged from 2.07-2.09 with a moderately high posture out of the crouch and a strong arm from high ¾. Throws carried when getting his front shoulder up and underneath throws (73 mph) with ability to get quicker on the release. Solid target while blocking, creating down chest angles and picking up dirt balls early in ball flight.
Physically: 6’ 180lb C ran a 7.67 laser timed 60 yard dash. Solid physical frame has solid actions throughout his game.
Offensively: Starts in a simple stance with some hand rhythm to keep himself on time with the pitch. Uses a foot lift/leg kick, engaging his swing just as his front foot strikes the ground. Barrel works smooth and powerful through the zone.
Defensively: Receives from both a new school and old school stance. His catch and transfer is quick but can get a little bit long. He pulls his hands up high above his head before starting his arm swing. Works on top of the ball and displays good arm strength.
