Physical: Solid 5-foot-9, 170-pound frame with athleticism throughout. 6.85 runner in the 60-yard dash / Franklin & Marshall commit.
Offensively: RHH. Begins with a wide, balanced stance showing bend in the knees as the hands start with rhythm above the shoulder. Utilized a repeatable toe tap stride to initiate an efficient, slightly uphill barrel path into the hitting zone. Attacked the ball out in front of the plate generating plenty of lift to the pull-side, twitch in the hands while firing an aggressive lower half through wherever the ball was pitched. Recorded a top bat-exit velocity of 96 mph according to Trackman Baseball / impressive 368 foot maximum batted ball distance. Mainly displayed a pull-side approach with obvious home run pop when catching it out in front / one of the better rounds of the day.
Defensively: The primary outfielder featured athleticism in space with natural instincts, got downhill through the baseball at the fielding window, fielded off of the left side of his body on the approach, soft glove hand, feel for catch and throw skills, accurate high ¾ slot with a moderate takeaway. OF - 81 mph
5-foot-9, 150-pound right-handed hitter starts from a wide, square stance and utilizes a knee-to-knee stride to begin. Showcased balance and rhythm to his swing with a feel for the barrel while using all fields in his batting practice round. Registered a bat exit velocity of 86 mph and ran a 7.20 60-yard dash. Showcased 73 mph arm strength out of the crouch with a top pop time of 2.26 defensively.
Patterson has a lean and athletic build at 5-foot-8, 145-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.90 seconds. Recorded an exit velo of 78 MPH. Starts at the plate with his feet even and wide. Knees are bent and sightly inverted. Hands begin just above shoulder height, close to the body. Elbow stays parallel to the ground. Creates pre-pitch rhythm. Hands move down and back as he loads. Uses a small leg kick as a timing mechanism. Keeps his hands inside the ball. Fluid load, stays balanced throughout. One-handed finish. Defensively, took reps behind the plate. Recorded a top velo of 68 MPH on his throws to bases. Transfers the baseball at the spot where he receives the pitch. Keeps his feet in line with his target. Has a short arm action and made throws from a high 3/4 arm slot. Recorded pop times ranging from 2.30-2.37 seconds.
