2/12/22

Physical: Long, lean 6-foot, 168lb frame with some projection left. 7.70 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH - Upright, shoulder-width start with a low-handed start at the shoulder. Some rhythm present and initiated the swing using a leg-hang stride and tons of burst through a flat path. Recorded an 81 mph bat-exit velocity and drove the ball with loft to the middle of the field. Found extension well and backspun at times for distance, room to continue adding strength as he enters development.

Defensively: The primary backstop featured adequate receiving technique from a traditional setup. Pop times ranged between 2.03-2.06 from a higher posture in the lower-half while getting the hips/shoulders in line to the target. Unloaded a 73 mph arm-strength to the target with occasional carry traits (H ¾ slot).

Pitching: RHP - Started off the left side of the rubber with a side rocker into a higher stack position. Unwinded down the slope with some room to clean up the finish. Still showed a lively FB at 79-80 mph with lower spin and run to arm-side. Mixed a gradual upper 60’s slider and faded a 68-70 mph CH flashing short movement.

6/15/21

Physical: Lengthy, projectable 5-foot-11, 159lb frame with long levers. 7.70 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH - Upright, narrow stance at an open position as the hands operated calmly, low on the shoulder. Utilized an easy toe tap stride early in the delivery allowing the foot to get down on time and initiate the bat head through a flat path into the hitting zone. Quick, rotational turns staying inside the baseball towards extension. Posted a T81 mph bat-exit velocity via Trackman and added a 57% line drive rate during his batting practice round, good enough for consistent singles power sprinkled all over the field. Ability to hit for some AVG down the road as he continues adding strength, only furthering measurables across the board.

Defensively: The primary backstop demonstrated clean actions while receiving from a mature, traditional setup in the crouch. Pop times ranged from 2.00-2.05 using efficient, straight line footwork that replaced towards the target. Good posture, clean exchange and immediate release from ¾ slot (T73 mph arm).
