Physical: 5-5, 135 pounds; Slender, lean build. 7.56 runner in the 60. Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; has a pre-pitch bat waggle. Short take back with the hands with an up and down stride for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a compact swing path with a late one hand finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 85 MPH via Trackman. Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; uses prep step while showing active feet. Hands are out in front with a seamless transfer. Moderate arm circle while using various arm slots. INF - 69 MPH. OF - 70 MPH. Smooth actions with a lightning quick transfer.
2/18/23
Physical: 5-foot-5, 135 pounds; Athletic, slender build. 7.2 runner in the 60. Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; has a pre-pitch bat waggle. Lifts hands with a slight leg-kick for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing a strong lower half. Showed a compact swing path with a two handed finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 85 MPH via Trackman. Defensively: Starts with a low to the ground setup; walks into ready position while utilizing a quick first step. Hands are out in front with a clean transfer. Moderate arm circle from a standard 3/4 arm slot. INF - 73 MPH.
7/20/22
Physical: Lean, developing 5-foot-4, 125lb frame with more to come. 7.23 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Narrow, crouched stance, as the hands started connected, just above the shoulder. Utilized a slower leg-kick stride to initiate the swing through a flat, accurate path into the hitting zone. Stayed over the rear hip on the turn while recording a pull-side, line-drive approach during batting practice. Worked up to a T81 mph exit velocity with a high barrel %.
Defensively: The primary middle infielder featured quick, choppy footwork early in the route, leading with the left side at the fielding window. Immediate transfer and the ability to throw from a lower angle generated a fast release (72 mph arm).
Pitching: RHP. Begins off the far left corner; average pace with some hip-coil at the top of the stack. Repeatable delivery maintained the line down the slope. FB ranged from 66-69, T70 mph for strikes, adding a shorter low-60’s CB on an east-west tilt.
