8/22/12 Gerofsky is a 6-foot-3, 220-pound OF/RHP who swings left handed. Gerofsky showcased a good arm at 78mph from his position and a solid bat exit speed velo of 80mph. Offensively Gerofsky showed some power to the pull side. He squared balls on the inner half and drove them to the wall in right field consistently. From the mound topped out at 75mph from a high 3/4 arm slot. Gerofsky also displayed a 59mph curve ball and a 64mph changeup that he kept down in the zone with a near fastball arm speed.
10/11/12 Gerofsky had good carry on throws of 79mph from his outfield position. The 6-foot-3, 220-pound, left-handed hitter impressed with an 85mph bat exit speed and an excellent round of batting practice. Gerofsky showcased legitimate power to the pull side, hitting out of an open stance with a strong lower half.
11/11/12 Gerofsky is a 6-foot-3, 220-pound prospect who threw 80mph from the outfield and ran a 7.94 60-yard dash. Gerofsky had an impressive round of batting practice using the middle of the field to drive baseballs repeatedly. The left-handed hitter does a good job of clearing his hips and allows his hands to work through the baseball allowing the ball to jump off his bat.
1/26/13 Gerofsky has change arm angles from the mound since we last saw him. The 6-foot-3, 220-pound right-hander now uses a sidearm delivery and was able to command the strike zone with three pitches. He sat 71-73 with a fastball that showed some late arm side run. Gerofsky also showcased a 63 mph slider and a 64 mph changeup that has some late sinking action. As he becomes more comfortable with the new delivery, Gerofsky should see his velocity begin to spike.
