Physical: Twitchy and athletic 5-foot-11, 192-pound frame. Ran the top time at the PA State Games; 6.50 runner in the 60-yard dash showing off a plus tool. St. Joseph’s commit.
Offensively: LHH. Balanced, low stance into the legs with the barrel starting high at the ear in the setup. Utilized a heel raise with a barrel point and shoulder turn in the timing phase allowing him to initiate a whippy, slightly uphill barrel path into the hitting zone. The lower half works extremely well with intent towards impact and the hands connected early and often on plane with the pitch. Generated repeatable drives to the RCF gap and over the wall in RF during batting practice with loud contact at the front of the plate. Quick triggered launch created high bat to ball skills and one of the better overall rounds of the PA State Games. Recorded a 97 mph bat-exit velocity per Trackman Baseball and projects to be a no brainer top of the order bat down the line at the D1 level.
Defensively: The outfielder move fluidly and effortlessly across the turf covering anything hit in the air to either side and getting behind the ball with regularity. A soft glove hand played with a low center of gravity off of the left side of his body allowing for smooth transfers and an accurate, powerful throwing arm which combined with the plus footspeed, should keep him in CF at the next level. Can impact a game in a multitude of ways and has the chance to be a quality defender moving forward.
