Physical: 5-foot-9, 165 pounds; Athletic, muscular build. 6.7 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Short take back with the hands with a toe-tap for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing a strong lower half. Showed a compact swing path with a two handed finish. More groundballs than line drives and flyballs with a peak exit velocity of 92 MPH via Trackman. Short swing path with the ability to drive the ball the other way.
Defensively: Starts with a low to the ground setup; uses prep step while showing active feet. Hands work through the ball with a seamless transfer. Short take back from a high 3/4 arm slot. INF - 82 MPH. Super athletic defender with good range up the middle.
Physical: High-waisted, athletic 5-foot-7, 145lb frame with feel. 6.70 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Narrow, upright stance with the upper half coiling slightly. Utilized a toe tap stride to initiate a twitchy, slightly upward path towards a high two-handed finish. Matched pitch-plane well out of the hand and lifted with no issues en route to a 45% line drive, 55% fly ball rate split (via Trackman). Really excelled when pitched into the lower quadrants, sinking more into the ground with adjustability; produced a 309 foot batted ball distance and T86 mph bat-exit velocity (doubles power, top of the order skillset). Will be a high follow offensively in the class as he adds strength to go with already above-average barrel awareness.
Defensively: The primary shortstop showcased some of the best pace on the left side of the infield; fielded in rhythm out in front as the feet flashed right-left to the ball. Released immediately in sequence with fast transfers and clean direction to the target. Accurate H ¾ slot and 77 mph arm strength (feel on the run, too).
Physical: 5-foot-7, 141 pounds; Athletic, wiry build. 6.8 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet shoulder width apart; flat bat to start. Loads straight back with a toe-tap for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing a strong lower half. Showed a slight lift to the ball with a two handed finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 83 MPH via Trackman.
Defensively: Starts with an upright/tall setup; walks into ready position while fluid actions to the baseball. Hands are out in front with a clean transfer. Short take back from a high 3/4 arm slot. INF - 75 MPH.
Pitching: Petras uses a center rubber setup while using an angled drop step. Mid chest leg drive with shoulders above the hips. Has a moderate stride landing inline with the plate. Moderate arm swing while effortless with fluidity, while working through a standard 3/4 slot. Upright with finish. FB had arm side run with sink. CB: 11-5 shape.
