A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.

Rise+
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
Curveball

Physical: 6-foot-0, 160 pounds; Lean, athletic build. 6.76 runner in the 60. Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet wide spread; upright bat position. Short take back with the hands with a slight leg-kick for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a downward swing path with a one-handed finish. More flyballs than line drives and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 85 MPH via Trackman. Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; walks into ready position while fluid actions to the baseball. Hands are off to the side with a clean transfer. Long arm swing from a high 3/4 arm slot. OF - 83 MPH.
6/15/21
Physical: Lean, athletic 6-foot, 160lb frame with long levers and projection found. 6.79 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Bent, crouched stance at a wide position as the hands operated with quick rhythm high at the head. Utilized a short lift and replace stride staying behind the baseball while entering through a flat path into the hitting zone. Low/deep finish generating a lofty approach through the middle/LCF side of the field (56% fly ball rate, near 300 foot batted ball distance via Trackman) and was able to stay short on pitches thrown on the inner half. Worked up to a T85 mph bat-exit velocity with mostly singles power at the moment.
Defensively: The primary OF featured good routes to the baseball getting the chest down over the toes and holding momentum towards the target. Low posture and solid pace fielding off his left side and funneling inward, releasing from an accurate H ¾ slot (86 mph arm, good carry, can play any of three OF positions).
Pitching: RHP - Started off the left side of the rubber from the stretch-only operating with a medium-high leg lift showing slight hip coil at the top of the stack. Got down the slope from H ¾, using some downward plane into the strike zone at 79-81 mph (10.7 inches IVB average, 32% zone rate via Trackman). Mixed a well-spun 68-71 mph CB for swing/miss at 12 inches depth/9 inches HM, and countered with a short 78-80 mph cut FB at a 50% zone rate.
