6/13/21

Physical: Large, XL 6-foot-5, 230lb frame with physicality exuding in the actions. 7.99 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH - Upright, slightly open stance with the hands showing slow rhythm above the shoulder to start; utilized a controlled leg lift stride while holding posture over the backside during the forward move; entered the hitting zone through a flat, heavy path creating loud contact to the pull-side during batting practice. Natural strength translated into impressive bat-exit velocities (98 mph per Trackman Baseball) while notching a 344 foot peak batted ball distance to the LCF gap. Posted above-average bat speed (up to 75 mph) and found consistent success at the front of the plate.

Defensively: The primary first baseman arrived on time to the fielding window with average pace and low posture; the glove hand worked accurately off the middle of his body, allowing for straight line footwork towards the target. Accurate, high ¾ arm-slot on the release with slight arm-side run on the carry (78 mph arm).

6/11/19

6-foot-5, 230-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and utilizes a lift-and-replace stride to begin. Showcased a strong lower half with some loop to his swing. Creates backspin with a pull oriented swing at this point in his development. Registered a bat exit velocity of 84 mph and went 2-for-8 in game action over two days, including a double off the left field wall. Displayed developing skills around the bag at first base with accurate 73 mph arm strength across the diamond. The righty sat 69-73 on the mound out of a high 3/4 arm slot. Also showed a curveball at 62-64 with cutter like action.
