6/17/15 6-foot-2, 180-pound left-handed hitter. Starts from a slightly open stance and employs a vertically-oriented stride to slightly closed. Eyes and hands rise during load/separation. With more incorporation of his backside into his swing, would better be able to tap into the power that his frame portends. Showed some foot speed, logging a 4.35 in-game home-to-1B time and a 4.41 on a turn. Moved well defensively and showcased accurate 87-mph arm strength in workout with quick release and low trajectory on throws.

2/14/15 Lorenz impressed in all facets of the game further solidifying his spot as one of the top outfield prospects in his class. The 6-foot-2, 180-pound left-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and uses a short lift-and-replace stride to initiate his balanced swing. Lorenz currently authors much of his 87 mph bat exit velocity with his upper half. As he learns to incorporate his legs and hips into his simple swing mechanics power production is likely. Lorenz ran a 6.78 60-yard dash and flashed and 87 mph arm from his outfield position.

9/28/14 Lorenz ran a 7.18 60-yard dash and displayed good carry on throws of 85 mph from the outfield. The 6-foot-2, 180-pound sophomore went 3-for-3 with a triple during game action and registered an 82 mph bat exit velocity. Lorenz has a projectable frame and creates solid barrel whip from an open stance with a lift and replace stride foot and good hip turn. The right-handed hitter squared the baseball routinely in batting practice while demonstrating the ability to utilize all fields.
