9/27/12 During the showcase portion of the event Teconchuk ran a 7.78 60-yard dash, showed solid actions in the middle infield with throws of 73mph and displayed a bat exit speed of 71mph. In game play, he shined in three innings of work on the mound. The 5-foot-7, 140-pound junior did not light up the radar gun at 75mph, but he mixed in an effective 67mph changeup, threw strikes and got outs.
1/19/13 Teconchuk showed well, displaying improvements in several areas since we last saw him. The 5-foot-8, 145-pound prospect ran an improved 60-yard dash in 7.66, and showcased an improved arm across the diamond at 76 mph. Teconchuk had a consistent round of batting practice, squaring most pitches and displayed the ability to use all fields. He was most impressive on the mound. Teconchuck showcased a much improved fastball that sat 76-78. Using a high 3/4 delivery he commanded a 66 mph curveball and a 71 mph changeup. Teconchuk showed his ability to command the strike zone in three innings of work at the PA Underclass Games in September and continued that trend in a similar display of control during his bullpen session.
