7/20/16 Second time on the bump in game action since suffering a strained back during the high school season. 6-foot-4, 180-pounds with room to grow. Overhead rocker and drifts through balance point a bit into a high three-quarter slot. Will work around front side at times and get turned sideways on finish. Fastball has returned to pre-injury level (83-85), while he was getting around it and cutting it on this day, but when he missed, he missed down. Has a good feel for his change-up at 73-74 and also features a curveball at 70-71 with 11/5 action. Expect to see him regain consistency and make a jump this fall as he rounds back into game shape.

11/7/15 Boop is a 6-foot-4, 170-pound righty that sat comfortably at 84-86 from a high 3/4 arm slot. The junior also fashioned a 77 mph curveball with 11/5 rotation and an 80 mp changeup thrown at fastball arm speed with late fade. He has plenty of room to fill out his lanky frame and his balanced, repeatable delivery should lead to additional velocity gains in the near future. Boop looks to build off of a standout sophomore season in which he went 2-0 with a 1.52 ERA that included 29 strikeouts in 23 innings of work.

11/1/15 Quick look in a short bullpen. Got downhill well and threw Ks with FB at 83-85, including a 2-seamer with good run. Also showed an upper-70s CH and low-70s CB.
