8/12/17 Right-handed hitter had a nondescript day at the plate with and 0-for-4 line with an intentional walk. Did barrel a ball hard to the left field corner that was caught. The two-way prospect sat 84-86 early in his 5.2 innings of work on the mound. Utilizes an overhead rocker and generate velocity from his lower half. 4-seam fastball is flat from a 3/4 arm slot but 2-seam shows late sink at 81-83. Curveball is much improved at 69-73 with two-plane break and changeup is thrown with good sell at 76-79.

10/3/15 6-foot-1, 185-pound right-handed hitter was one of three underclassmen to participate in the event. Starts from a wide, slightly open stance and utilizes a pronounced leg-lift stride to generate significant barrel whip (94 mph). Ball jumps off his barrel when his foot gets down on time. Showed improving foot speed (7.15 60-yard dash) and above average arm strength (85 mph) across the diamond from third base. Physical size and power potential offensively could initiate an eventual move across the diamond to first base.

4/16/15 Stough sat 82-83 in one inning of relief. Fastball is flat from high 3/4 arm slot with significant effort. Curveball has a bit of sweep and tends to be flat at 70 mph. Starts from overhead rocker out of wind up and stays directional with ability to throw strikes.
11/1/14 Stough starts with an overhead rocker into and abbreviated arm swing before kicking his front foot toward the plate with a bit of a head snap up top. The physical 6-foot-1, 185-pounder featured a fastball at 82-84, touching 85-mph, that was fairly straight, but had some life to it. He showed a 2-seamer at 80-81 with occasional sink, a 12/6 curveball at 67-70, and a 71-73 change-up with sink and fade at its best. The right-handed hitter is stiff and strong (88-mph exit velocity), working under the ball at times with a middle-away approach. He ran a 7.31 60-yard dash and his defense is not as developed as the rest of his game, so a move across the diamond may be in order down the road.
6/25/14 Stough is a 6-foot-1, 185-pound freshman that displayed legitimate two-way potential. The right-handed hitter barreled the baseball frequently from a wide square stance with a bat exit velocity of 86 mph during batting practice. Stough exhibited a strong 81 mph arm from 3B and capable actions with the glove. The righty sat 79-81 in three innings of work on the mound from a high 3/4 arm slot with an overhead rocker delivery. Stough also showed command of a 66 mph curveball and a 75 mph changeup that is in the developmental stage.
3/30/14 Stough has grown an inch and added 15 pound to his 6-foot, 180-pound frame since participating in this same event a year ago. The right-handed hitter displayed legitimate power potential form a wide, square base and a bat exit velocity of 80 mph. Stough barreled the baseball consistently and when he was on time to the baseball the ball jumped off his barrel. The 8th grader showed decent feet and a solid 80 mph arm across the diamond from 3B. Stough impressed on the mound sitting 81-83 out of a high 3/4 arm slot. His 11/5 breaking curveball at 70 mph displayed some down action and his 71 mph changeup showed some arm side run with good arm speed.
1/13/13 Stough is a 5-foot-11, 165-pound 7th grader who showed advanced abilities as a hitter for a player his age. He showcased an 80 mph bat exit velocity and good lower half actions in his swing that allowed him to create barrel whip. Stough routinely squared the baseball and the ball jumped off his bat. The future Red Land HS prospect ran a 7.95 60-yard dash and showed a 63 mph arm across the infield. With his advanced offensive abilities Stough is a prospect to watch in the Class of 2018.
1/26/13 Stough was the youngest participant at the event by two years, but held his own during his bullpen session. The 5-foot-11, 165-pound 7th grader sat 72-74 mph with his fastball out of a high 3/4 arm slot. He also commanded a 65 mph 11/5 breaking curveball and a 64 mph changeup. The changeup is thrown at near fastball arm speed and has the potential to be a plus pitch. Stough pounded the strike zone and stayed down in the zone throughout his time on the mound.
