6-foot-2, 180-pound right-handed pitcher. Ben was impressive in his outing and continues to improve as he matures in age. The fastball has good life and arm side run, sitting at 89-90 mph. The spin pitch is a slider at 78-80 mph. The changeup is a developing pitch. The delivery is online with the feet and above 3/4 in slot height. The lift is repeated, quick in tempo and he shows good extension. The arm is clean and long out front. He showed a good feel for spinning the ball for strikes and finishing with his fastball.

Futures Game Report:

6-foot-1, 165-pound, longer lean athletic frame. Long arms and limbs, with plenty of room for added weight. A right-handed pitcher, pounds the zone with a three pitch mix. The delivery has tempo and rhythm to it, hands start low work up with athletic lift. The arm action is longer and loose on the backside, more of a top to bottom path, arm working out of a higher 3/4 slot. The fastball was poured in at 86 mph, late action to arm side. Threw a slurvey breaker at 76 mph. Look for him to make a major jump in velocity at some point. Should be off the board fairly quick, potential to be a draft pick in 2 years.

6-foot-0, 155 pound, long, loose, and wiry build. He starts from the stretch with a rock back motion. He has a strong balanced base with some funk in his leg kick and delivery. He keeps his front hip closed till the last second, solid direction to the plate with minimal pull with lead arm. The arm action is long, clean and fluid, with plus arm speed to go with it, works out of a higher ¾ slot.  The fastball topped at 85 mph and showed natural run with a hammer 11/5 tight curveball sitting at 72-73 mph. He showed a changeup with command and control sitting 78-79 mph during his in game play. With adding mass and strength to his lower half and continuing to grow he will be a top tier pitcher by his senior year, potential draft pick.
