Uncommitted, 5-foot-11, 175-lb proportional frame w/ lower half strength and room to add mass. Crouched, open stance w/ moderate leg kick and bat tip load. Generates slightly above average bat speed w/ some whip in the barrel and strong finish. Gets on plane early and often, leading to consistent hard contact (T 92.3; Avg: 84.1) w/ a lot of line drives and some power to project. Defensively, more of a utility player (C/2B) who can do everything solid. Shown some upside behind the plate w/ sound receiving and blocking. Compact arm action w/ solid arm strength (74 C velo) and quick transfers, keeping throws around the bag (2.00-2.10 pop). On the infield, wide base w/ good glove presentation, solid hands, and sound footwork. Some stiffness in the arm action and lack of speed (7.51 sixty) may limit him to more 2B. Pruneau is a high floor prospect, who plays hard and can do a little of everything as he lacks a standout tool.
