2/7/15 - The 6 foot 3, 195-pound catcher had a 60 yard dash time of 7.54 and a 78 mph position velocity, Defensively Greer had a 1.84-1.94 pop time, showed good lateral movement and blocking ability , had good footwork but needs to improve on receiving the ball on the corners, had good arm strength. At the plate Greer hits from a balanced setup with a long stride, showed fast bat speed and had an aggressive approach, is a gap to gap type hitter with power potential, showed average balance and has a tendency to pull the ball, had a 85 mph exit velocity off the tee.
11/1/14 - Greer is a 6-foot-3, 190-pound prospect with a big/strong frame. The right-handed hitter hits from a balanced, spread stance, slight leg kick, explosive lower half, level swing, good extension, shows line drive ability with a gap to gap approach, 83 mph bat exit velocity, had another solid round of batting practice, shows he can drive the ball when he puts it all together, went 0-for-3 in game play with solid contact. Another defensive effort consistent with his East Tennessee College Prospect Showcase performance in September. 1.89-2.01 pop times, 78 mph arm velocity, quick release from the high- ¾ arm slot with medium arm action, accurate throws with line carry to the bag, quick footwork. Prospect to follow from the 2016 class.
8/13/19: Moves well behind the dish, but shows a pull-centric approach at the plate with sizeable holes in his swing and lots of swing-and-miss.
