The 6-foot-4, 185-pound right handed pitcher threw one inning in Game 3 vs Kentucky.  Wirtz showed a good three pitch mix w/ great projectable frame.  Fastball worked 84-86 (Max Spin: 2191 AVG: 2059) w/ good carry through zone and plenty left in the tank.  Supported by two vertical breaking off speed, curveball and splitter.  Curveball was 69-71 (Max Spin: 2119 AVG: 2029) and splitter/changeup was 73-74 (Max Spin: 1816 AVG: 1723), both showed great depth and S/M potential.  Profile projects as steady workhorse w/ great frame and natural stuff.

6-foot-4, 180-pound, RHP cruised through his 2 innings of work, needing just 28 pitches while recording 3 strikeouts and generating 5 swing and misses on 12 swings.  XL tall, athletic frame w/ some well-proportioned lean strength, super projectable.  Has just scratched the surface of his frame potential.  Pitches from the stretch only from the first base side of the rubber into a H ¾ release.  Quick arm w/ loose arm action.  Downhill plane w/ extension, angle.  FB shows short arm-side run.  Tight, short downer CB w/ late bite.  Gets slurvy at times.  Flashes as a true put-away pitch, understands where to throw it to get strikeouts and executes it.  Straight CH w/ arm-speed.  Around the zone, flashes the ability to pitch w/ intent.  Projects to command.

10/14/18 - Home-1st: 4.81, Position Velocity:  IF-77, Exit Velocity: 88
6-foot-4, 180-pound, RHH showed off big bat speed and an intriguing frame, but may profile best on the mound when all is said and done.  XL tall, athletic frame w/ some well-proportioned lean strength, super projectable.  Has just scratched the surface of his frame potential.  Offensively, hits w/ a straight on, very slightly crouched stance w/ hand rhythm into crouch, stride and circular hand load.  Generates above average bat speed through the zone.  Can get rotational, occasionally gets too deep with his hands, creating some length through the zone.  Controls his long limbs, just 1 swing and miss on 5 swings.  At 3B, moves well w/ first step quickness, projectable carry to target arm strength, solid hands and footwork.
