6-4, 230-pound righty showed intriguing size on the mound w/ feel for spin, but profiles best as a position player. Prototypical pitcher frame, tall, athletic, w/ well-proportioned present strength. Close to mature, has a chance to be a monster physically. Pitches from a full wind-up into H ¾ to over the top release from the middle of the rubber. Downhill plane w/ some extension. Heavy FB w/ occasional short arm-side run. Medium downer CB w/ proper shape and rotation. CT began like a true SL earlier in the pen before showing more traditional one-plane cutter life later in the pen. CH shows fade and sink. Around the zone w/ 4-pitch mix.

6-4, 230-pound 1B was a Future Games participant last year and showed off his continued improvement, leading all hitters and setting his new personal high w/ a 93 exit velocity. Prototypical corner IF frame, tall, athletic, w/ well-proportioned present strength. Close to mature, has a chance to be a monster physically. Offensively, hits w/ an open, slightly crouched stance w/ hand rhythm into stride to square and proper load. Simple, repeatable swing for someone of his power caliber. Power first approach w/ some length, ball jumps off the barrel. Tools to be a presence in the box. Present power to all fields, chance to be a big-time power bat at the next level. Defensively, moves well at first base w/ soft hands, good footwork and projectable above average arm strength, as he was up to 84 on the mound.
1B showed intriguing all-around skill-set and collected a double in game. 6-4, 200-pounder features a prototypical corner infielder frame w/ tall, athletic body, projectable. Offensively, hits w/ a straight on, slightly crouched stance w/ hand rhythm into stride to slightly open and proper load. Hips were leaking slightly, creating a pull oriented approach and some length in his swing. Ball jumps off the barrel when stays connected, capable of putting on a show in BP. Was one of the hardest pitched players in the event for Tennessee, saw only 3 balls and was consistently behind in the count with pitchers painting away. Some swing and miss within his long limbs, was likely due to the hips leaking slightly, as he had not shown that swing and miss in the past, even against high level pitching. Power first hitter w/ projectable all fields power. Defensively, shows soft hands and good footwork around the bag. Plus arm strength, really unleashed the ball during eval day w/ easy carry through the target. Shows the upside on the mound as he learns to control his lower half.
6/12/18 - Max FB: 82, FB: 80-82, Avg FB: 79.75, CB: 69-70, CH: 76 6-foot-3, 185-pound, RHP w/ prototypical size, but projects best as a position player at this stage. Tall, athletic frame w/ some present lower half strength, long-limbed, super projectable. Pitches from a full wind-up into H ¾ release from the first base side of the rubber. Long arm action in back, learning to consistently get his arm on time and create timing in his lower half. Shows body control of his frame, projects to repeat his delivery w/ more reps. Downhill plane. Straight FB shows occasional cut. Medium downer CB w/ proper shape and rotation. CH w/ arm-speed, fade and short sink. Shows potential for 3 average or better pitches. Around the zone on this day, projects to control.
6/12/18 - Home-1st: 4.82, Position Velocity: IF-79, Exit Velocity: 90
6-foot-3, 185-pound, RHH shows super projectable frame w/ power. Tall, athletic frame w/ some present lower half strength, long-limbed, super projectable. Offensively, hits w/ a slightly open, very slightly crouched stance w/ short hand rhythm into stride to square and proper load. Generates above average bat speed through the zone, flashes whip. Learning to control his body, control some of the length in his swing. Power over average at this stage of his development w/ the motto of swing hard in case you hit it. Will be interesting to follow as he gets more reps against high level pitching. Pull oriented approach. Projectable above average pull power. Projectable below average runner. Defensively, moves well at 1B w/ above average glove-work, shows ability to scoop the baseball in previous looks. Easy arm strength translates to the mound. Legitimate two-way prospect.
