7/27/21

6-foot-1, 205-pound LHH catcher has a sturdy frame w/ some projection. At SE Unsigned Sr Games, he showcased some big time pop in his BP round. Moderate leg kick with good head/hand separation in his load, showing big time gap power (T 101.1 mph; Avg: 88.6 mph) and slugged multiple HRs in his round (T 389 ft; Avg: 301 ft). A little raw behind the dish, as far as receiving and blocking, but he’s consistently popping around 2.01-2.09 w/ plenty of arm strength at 77 C velo. In the past, he’s shown to handle advanced pitching when he digs into the batter’s box, and slug with the best of them. A solid 2022 add as a lefty power bat first prospect.

9/24/20

Uncommitted, 6-foot-1, 195-pound backstop has a solid frame with strength. The lefty-swinging catcher was red-hot at the dish all weekend.  Balanced, athletic stance with simple load, allowing him to keep his barrel in the zone.  Smooth stroke with good bat speed (Max: 74.9 mph | Avg: 69.3 mph via Blast). No issue handling velo, turning on a double in his first at bat before a deep homer later in the game to right-CF. Also, hit a no-doubt two-run homer in bracket play to get East Cobb going early.

7/21/20

6’1, 195-pound catcher shows super intriguing power upside w/ intriguing projectable frame.  Medium, athletic frame w/ some present lower half strength, upper body projection.  Super projectable, chance to be a monster physically.  Offensively, hits w/ a slightly open, slightly crouched stance w/ very short hand rhythm into shift of weight, stride to slightly open and short hand load.  Simple repeatable swing w/ still head.  Generates above average bat speed in the zone.  Hammered a triple to straightaway center field in game.  Intriguing mix of bat speed, power and swing repeatability.  Led the event in average distance per Trackman (282) and had the 2nd highest max exit speed (97.18).  Defensively, shows solid footwork w/ quick release and carry to target arm strength.

1/25/20

6-foot-1, 200-pound physical frame. At the plate, the left-handed hitter showed his power ability with an exit velocity of 91 mph. Started in a wide stance with a smooth load, then used a short stride to initiate his swing. Shows an uphill swing plane, as well as explosive bat speed and high finish. Behind the plate, showed his ability to throw runners out with an efficient pop time of 1.94-2.00. displayed a plus arm with strong throw downs to second that hit 75 mph; had a fluid exchange and soft hands.
