10/25/15 - The 6 foot 3, 220-pound prospect posted a 7.58 60 time and had an 80 mph position velocity across the infield. Defensively Oglesby has short arm action, accuracy on throws, good arm strength, average hands with a slower exchange. Offensively Oglesby shows frame generated bat speed from the right side and had an 84 mph exit velocity off the tee. Oglesby hits from a balanced setup with a leg kick involved, uses his lower half, shows overall average balance, aggressive approach at the plate, creates some natural lift in his swing with flashes of power, good overall strength. Oglesby went 1 for 3 during game play. On the mound, the RHP jumped into the 2018 rankings with his performance at the event. Oglesby shows a loose arm that works through a ¾ slot, regular effort in delivery with a slight pause after reaching balance point, fastball sat 82-83 mph topping at 84 with occasional arm-side run. He showed a tight spinning curveball that had a sharp 10/4 break to it at 72-74 mph. He also flashed a changeup that had gradual sinking action to it at 68-70 mph. Oglesby had two strikeouts in one inning pitched during game play and is definitely a 2018 prospect to keep a close eye on for velocity gains.
