Polk continues to get better each time that I see him, and did not disappoint in his first action at the PBR Texas Limited Series. Getting a pitch up in the zone, Polk worked uphill through the ball, and blasted it over the left field fence for a home run. HIs 6-foot, 180-pound frame appears to have stretched out a bit more since I last saw him in March, and he continues to showcase strong receiving skills along with smooth catch and throw abilities. He rarely gets cheated at the plate, and continues to showcase strong leadership skills from behind the dish.
JUPITER 2017 - My first introduction to 2020 C Hudson Polk (Coppell HS, TX), an Oklahoma recruit, was a good one. The 6-foot, 180-pound catcher showcased an easy rhythm at the plate that carried him to multiple hits on the day including a big, two-strike single in the Dallas Tigers’ walk-off win. Strong with room to continue filling out, Polk has loose hips behind the plate as well as soft hands that allowed him to quietly receive some solid pitchers. He also shows off a strong, accurate arm.
