Positional Profile: SS/C RHH/Inf, C…will continue to add strength. Solid swing, shows ability to find barrel. Defensively has versatility on the dirt, developing skills behind the plate. Upside present. Player who will be scouted as a senior, look for him to continue to develop.
Body: 5-11, 182-pounds. Good build/frame to add strength. Upside physically, will have good strength/build as he matures.
Hit: RHH. Lands in good position to hit after stride. Show linear movement to back foot with nice movement forward. Can improve driving hip forward improving rotation acceleration. Hitting in flats, back foot slipping was part of factor in lack of showing great rotation acceleration. Hands/barrel in good launch position. Good path to zone with hands and barrel. Solid bat speed present, will continue to improve with added strength. 71.3 mph bat speed with 7 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 99 max exit velocity, averaged 94.7 mph. 376' max distance. Found barrel with baseball. Like the swing, can improve hip acceleration. Solid hitter.
Arm: RH. INF-87 mph. Arm works well, shows ability to throw from all angles. Avg arm now, will continue to improve with added strength and maturity. Took easy this event with tired arm.
Defense: Solid 1st step, feet work well getting body into position to field. Feet work well thru fielding process. Hands are fine, would like to see more of ground up approach fielding baseball. Shows body control and agility. Avg foot quickness/speed present. Also catches, shows solid attributes behind plate to be successful as catcher. Needs time/games behind the plate to refine ability. Upside to catching.
ATH: 7.22 runner in the 60. 1.75 and 4.00 in the 10 and 30 yard splits. Runs hard, 60 time should get slightly better in future as he matures and adds strength. 32.20 max vertical.
