Struggled to make consistent contact throughout the summer, striking out in 32 of his 112 plate appearances, but flashed some over-the-fence pop to go with his traditional gap-to-gap approach. A plus runner with solid hands on the dirt, Chat’s arm likely fits best at second base at the next level, placing some additional stress on the profile to produce pop with more regularity this upcoming spring. He’s a mid-to-late-Day Two talent right now but will have every opportunity to push several rounds higher with a strong performance as the offensive catalyst at a highly visible Ole Miss program

04.21.17 - 5-foot-11, 155-pound, lean, athletic frame. The sophomore is currently ranked No. 45 in Texas 2019 Class, and No. 287 Overall. In the leadoff spot for Cy Fair, the right-handed hitter went 1-for-4 on the day. His lone hit came in his third at-bat, when he singled to left-centerfield. Chatagnier has an athletic swing with a loose finish, as well as being a long stride runner. Chatagnier is an athletic shortstop with rangy actions, solid footwork and good arm action (although he would make two errors in the fourth inning). Look for him to make jumps as he continues to add strength and make cleaner transitions.

5-foot-10, 150-pound, lean, projectable frame. The shortstop flashes good range with advanced footwork, good arm action with carry in the arm. Aggressive player, attacks ground balls and takes charge on pop-ups. The right-handed hitter has good rhythm, smooth swing and loose finish. Long stride runner.
