06.26.18 Wiry 6-foot-2, 170-pound frame with long levers. Peters has some rhythm in his delivery, a strong balance point, quick-twitch drive in his legs, a short to long arm stroke that is loose and quick, and an over-the-top delivery. There is some effort involved, and he has an aggressive kick over with his back leg into an upright finish. The ball comes out of his hand clean at 85-86 mph, he spins a downer shape breaking ball at 72-73 that comes out of the same slot as his fastball, and a changeup at 77-78 mph. Peters is a candidate to see his velocity jump once he develops more strength into his frame, as his arm works well. Peters hits from the right side out of an athletic stance, has a leg kick, a flat barrel in his stance that stays working flat throughout the swing, quick wrists, and a loose barrel action through the zone. Peters takes an aggressive hack with a long finish to his swing, and posted 85 mph exit velo off the tee; flashed barrels to CF with backspin in BP. Peters ran a 7.21 laser-timed 60. He has athletic actions at first base with good footwork around the bag, picked the ball well during the infield session, can change arm angles, and has tremendous arm strength (90 mph). Peters has yet to reach his high ceiling of potential.
