Massa is 6-2 with an athletic 210 pound frame that has strength present. He hits from the left side from a slightly open taller relaxed athletic stance, low leg kick stride on line, short smooth load back. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, quick to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing path with strength at contact and extension through the ball. Showed a good approach working gap to gap, some natural loft and power present to his pull side, exit velocity was 92. In the infield, gets body behind the ball and fields with a wider base and average hands, works through the ball to a clean exchange, throws from a three-quarters arm slot, short arm action, position velocity was 75. On the mound, he throws from a lower three-quarters arm slot, longer free arm action and normal effort to his delivery. Shoulders are level and slightly closed, lands slightly open with an athletic finish. Fastball was 75-77, touching 78, with some downward angle to it and some late armside run. Curveball was 63-65 with good armspeed and hard 1/7 break to it. Change-up was 70-71 with good armspeed and heavy armside run.
