Burke

Burke is 5-11 with a strong athletic frame, he hits from the left side from an athletic stance. Short stride on line, smooth load back, good rhythm to his swing. Hips rotate some and he maintains good balance to his swing. Short to ball, level to contact, works uphill through it with some extension, line drive swing with some juice to pull side, strong through contact. Showed good approach working the middle of the field, exit velocity was 85. At first base, gets body behind ball and fields with a wider base and average hands. Short arm action throws from low three-quarters arm slot, infield velocity was 77. On the mound, the has a drop and drive delivery and throws from a lower three-quarters arm slot with a shorter free arm action. Normal effort, shoulders are uphill and online, lands square with an athletic finish. Fastball was 74-76, touched 77, with sink to it. Change-up was 65-69 with sink and some armspeed. Curveball was 60-62 with gradual 12/6 break to it. Slider was 60-62 with later gradual 11/5 break to it.

Short stride, toe stays in place, short smooth load back, some rhythm to his swing. Some hip rotation and some balance to swing. Takes barrel straight to ball, level to slightly uphill swing path, line drive swing, slight pull preference, some quickness to swing. Gap power to pull side with exit velocity of 84. At first, gets body behind ball and fields with a wider base and average hands. Works through the ball, throws from three-quarters arm slot, infield velocity was 77. On the mound, throws from a three-quarters arm slot, stabs arm down and back, longer arm action that has some looseness, normal effort to delivery. Shoulders uphill and on line, lands square with an athletic finish. Fastball was 76-77, touching 78, with a bit of late run to it. Curveball was 60-63 with some armspeed and hard 11/5 break. Slider was 63 with sharp 10/4 break.
