Briggs is 5-10 with a lankier athletic frame that has a lot of projection left to it. He is a switch hitter. From the left side hits from an open balanced athletic stance, two step stride on line, loads back to a wrap. Hips rotate completely and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, quick to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing path with some strength at contact and extension through the ball, showed good approach working primarily gap to gap, natural loft in his swing with some power present. From the right side hits from a slightly open balanced athletic stance, two step stride on line, loads down and back to a slight wrap. Hips rotate completely and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, quick to the ball, uphill line drive swing path with some extension through the ball, showed pull approach with some gap power present that way. Best exit velocity was 86. In the infield, gets body behind the ball and fields with a wider base and above average hands, works through the ball to a quick clean exchange, throws from a three-quarters arm slot, short arm action, position velocity was 73. Ran a 4.31 home to first. On the mound, he throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, long loose arm action and some effort to his delivery. Drop and drive crossfire delivery, shoulders are level and closed, lands slightly closed with a fall off finish. Fastball was 77-80, with late armside run and a bit of sink as well. Curveball was 69-70 with good armspeed and sharp 1/7 break to it, some shape present. Change-up was 74-75 with good armspeed and late hard fade. Showed ability to throw all three for strikes.
