Vogatsky has a more mature stronger athletic frame. Strength in his lower half but still has some projection left to his delivery. Throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, stabs back to a longer arm action, arm is quick and loose, throws with some effort. Extreme drop and drive delivery, shoulders uphill and online, almost sinks body underneath his front shoulder, lands a bit open with some fall off to his finish. Fastball was 86-90, touching 91 once in the first inning, working mostly 88-90 in the windup and 86-88 in the stretch. Pitch gets some downward angle and late run to it, showed ability to command to both sides of the plate and move up and down in the zone, fastball flattens a bit when up. Was working 86-88 in the windup in the third and was 83-86, touching 87 in the fifth inning. Showed a few change-ups at 76 with some armspeed and a bit of run. Curveball was also used sparingly and is a swing-and-miss out pitch. Sharp power break with 11/5 tilt with good armspeed, ran 72-75. Most of the hitters were overmatched by his velocity and he just kept pumping fastballs. Went 5 innings, allowed 7 hits, struck out 11 and only walked 1.

Vogatsky is 6-0 with an athletic frame that has plenty of projection left to it. He throws from a three-quarters arm slot with short loose arm action that is very quick with normal effort. Drop and drive delivery, shoulders uphill and closed, lands slightly open with an athletic finish. Fastball was 80-83, touching 85 with boring action and a little extra late armside run. Curveball was 69-71 with sharp 11/5 break, good shape, good depth, and good armspeed. Change-up was 70-72 with good armspeed and some sink. Splitter was 73 with good armspeed and some late dive.

Vogatsky looked similar to when we saw him in March. Drop and drive delivery and throws with some effort. Fastball was 82-85 with a lot of late run and some plane to it. Held his velocity for about 80 pitches then began to tail off to 78-83 in the fifth. Fastball movement is very heavy when its down. Showed different velocities on his curveball, throwing a bigger slow one early in count as a get ahead pitch, and throwing a sharper harder one late in count for strikeouts. Pitch ranged 61-68. Showed ability to back foot lefthanders with it. Change-up had sink and some armspeed, sitting 72 early and tailing off to 67 later in the outing. Makings off an effective three-pitch mix and he has the mentality of a guy who will be a starter at the next level. Had 7 strikeouts and only issued one walk (other walk was intentional).

Vogatsky has an athletic frame and still has some projection left to it. He has a drop and drive delivery and throws from a three-quarters arm slot with short, loose arm action that is quick with normal effort. Shoulders are uphill and slightly closed, lands square with a bit of a fall off as he finishes. Fastball was consistently 79-84, touching 85 when he needed it. Pitch had some late run and downward angle to it. He didn't give much velocity up in his slide step, working 80-81 there. He also maintained his velocity throughout the outing, still getting 85 when he wanted in the fourth inning and later. Showed one change-up that had good armspeed and fade to it. Varied the velocity on his curveball, running it from 63-68. Pitch had sharp 11/5 break and has a chance to develop into a swing and miss offering. Showed the ability to command both sides of a very tight strike zone. Also showed good game awareness, changed up his timing when runners were on base, and other little things like that. Plenty of upside left in the arm, has a chance to be an impact pitcher at the next level. Also hits in the middle of the lineup from the right side and showed some pop with a double to deep right center.
