Mack is 6-4 with a very lanky frame with a lot of projection left to it. He throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with a long arm action that is loose and quick, normal effort to his delivery. Shoulders are closed and uphill, lands open with a slight fall off finish and some recoil. Fastball was 79-83, touching 85 with hard run to armside and some sink. Curveball was 63-65 with some armspeed and sharp 10/4 break. Change-up was 75-76 with good armspeed and some fade to it. Slider was 68-71 with good armspeed and sharp tight 10/4 break.
Preseason All-State I
Long projectable frame at 6-foot-3, 160-pounds. Has room to add strength and weight to an already lively and electric frame. Side step to start the delivery moving to a high balance point before the hips lead the way down the mound. Shoulders uphill and lands slightly closed at foot strike. Arm action is longer, but showed some arm speed and released from a high three-quarter arm slot. Fastball sat at 82-83 and had carry through the zone. 2-seam fastball showed distinct arm side run. Curveball had tight break with 11/5 shape and sat at 71-73 mph with feel. Changeup had present arm speed and sat at 75-78 mph. Possesses a frame and ability that should be to add some velo as he adds strength.
