Top Prospect Games II

Canterbury is 6-0 with a lankier athletic frame that has plenty of projection left to it. He hits from the left side from an upright relaxed stance, low leg kick stride on line, short load back, quiet set-up. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains good lower half balance. Stays inside ball and is short and quick to contact, some strength at contact. Uphill swing path, showed a pull approach with natural loft and some power present with potential for more, exit velocity was 88. In the outfield, gets behind ball and plays through it, fielding with above average hands. Clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with a loose arm action, outfield velocity was 85. Showed some accuracy on his throws. On the mound he throws from a three-quarters arm slot with a shorter arm action that is loose and quick, some effort to his delivery. Shoulders are uphill and on line, lands on line with a slight fall off. Fastball 77-80, touching 81, with some downward plane and a bit of late run to armside that also had some depth. Curveball was 65-67 with good armspeed and late 1/7 break.
