Alheit is 6-0 and has an athletic frame with projection left to it. He hits from the left side from an athletic loaded back stance. Leg kick stride on line, short load back, some rhythm to his swing. Explosive lower half, dives at the ball a bit, some balance to swing. Quick bat, short and fast to contact, level path to ball with some uphill extension through it. Line drive swing with some whip to his bat, exit velocity was 82. In the outfield, gets behind the ball and plays through it with clean feet and a clean exchange. Fields with above average hands and throws from a three-quarters arm slot with a short arm action, some carry to his throws, outfield velocity was 81. Ran 4.12 home to first. On the mound, throws from a lower three-quarters arm slot with a shorter free arm action. Shoulders uphill and slightly closed, lands on line with an athletic finish. Fastball was 74-77 with some late run. Change-up had some arm action and a bit of cut running 65-71. Slider had some armspeed and sharp 2/8 action at 69-70.

11.1.17: Hits from an athletic wider open set up. Reached base every time on the day with three hits. Short path at the plate, slap style approach, sprays ball around the field. Quick hands, need to add some strength, but showed nice feel for barrel.

7.18.17:  Alheit is 6-0 tall with a lanky frame. Hits from the left side from an open athletic stance. Short leg kick stride on line, smooth load back to a slight wrap. Explosive lower half, good balance to swing. Quick to ball, works slightly uphill, line drive hitter slight pull tendency, exit velocity was 79. In the outfield, clean feet, gets behind ball, fields with soft hands and plays through to a quick clean exchange. Short arm action from high three-quarters arm slot, outfield velocity was 79. Home to first was 3.89 on a bunt. On the mound, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with a drop and drive delivery. Longer free arm action and normal effort. Shoulders uphill and on line, lands square with an athletic finish. Fastball was 70-72, touching 74, with some angle and a bit of late run. Curveball had sharp 1/7 break at 63-65 with some armspeed. Change-up had sink and some armspeed, running 65-68. Showed some pitchability.
