Hit: RHH. Slightly open centered foot lift, quiet hands. Rotates hard in center and uses quick hands to drive the ball through the big part of the field. 68 mph bat speed with 9 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 89 max exit velocity, averaged 78.8 mph. 290’ max distance.
Arm: RH. OF - 79.00 mph. 3Q slot, medium arc, quickness to arm, carry through target.
Defense: One hand gather, shuffle step to target.
Run: 4.11 30 yard dash.
Smith had a solid day at Saturday’s showcase. Smith hits with a centered move and very quiet head and uses his strong hands to barrel up baseballs to both gaps while measuring a max exit velocity of 89 mph. Smith is an athletic outfielder who moves in all directions very well and who showed some carry on his throws through the target.

Smith entered the tournament at a solid 5-foot-11, 160-pound frame, projecting with more room to grow into his body. The outfielder had a quality presence in the middle of the order for Puma Academy, going 2-for-2 with a run scored, an RBI, and a double. The righty did it all for his team, as he swung a hot bat all weekend prior to his play on Saturday. Smith was only retired twice in his first three games.
