Mills cruised in his start on Friday against the New Berlin Nationals. The 6-foot-2, 165-pound projectable frame finished his complete game outing allowing no runs on three hits with an impressive 17 strikeouts. Commanded the zone throughout. Straight fastball at 77-78 mph with a sharp curveball that was thrown consistently for strikes at 65-66 mph. Also mixed in a changeup at 69-72 mph.

Hit: RHH. Wide base, upright torso and barrel, sinks into legs. Under control move in center to get to a strong hitting position, turns hard on back side to rotate through the baseball creates line drive path through the middle. 60.3 mph bat speed with 11 G’s of rotational acceleration.

RHP Ben Mills (Oak Creek, 2025) is an intriguing righty to keep an eye on as the summer goes on. Listed at a projectable 6-foot-2, 160-pounds, Mills showed feel for a three-pitch mix out of a controlled, easy delivery. During his ‘pen, Mills ran his fastball up to 79.2 mph and it was thrown downhill, occasionally playing with some arm side run. He also showed confidence in a big 11/5 curveball that played with late depth, and Mills also showed the ability to bury this pitch, too. He rounded out his repertoire with a low-70s changeup that was thrown at arm speed, and featured fade/depth actions.
