Horn presents himself as a quality defender and consistent hitter for Team Wisconsin during the Future Games. In game one, Horn showcased his range from his centerfield position, where he made three catches in a row, ranging to both his right and left. During the showcase portion of the event, he topped out at 82 mph from the outfield with a clean, over-the-top arm motion. At the plate, the right-hander brings a whippy barrel where he had a max exit velocity of 93 to begin his week. Horn is a premier defender that is automatic from any position in the outfield.
2/19/22
Horn is a dynamic athlete, kicking his day off by running a 6.98 in the 60-yard dash with smooth strides and precise coordination. He put together one of the day’s top rounds of BP. His controlled and balanced forward move was quickly followed by a compact swing. He enters the zone from inside and stays through with plenty of plate coverage as well. Horn consistently roped hard line drives that pierced the gaps with clean backspin. The bat projects to add more thump as he physically matures, too. In the outfield, Horn flowed with natural strides and body precision, delivering mid-80s throws on target with clean spin and carry. His outfield arm carries over to the mound where he showed a true four seam, back spinning fastball that carried well through the zone at 81-82 mph. He flashed a sharp curveball to compliment it and a confident changeup with above average arm side action.

5-foot-9, 140-pound right-handed hitting outfielder; lean, lanky frame with athleticism. Led off for STiKS Black all weekend while playing center field. Aggressive approach at the plate, regularly jumped on the first pitch of his at-bats; still has strike zone feel and did not swing and miss or chase much out of the zone. Loose/athletic hands help time up contact and barrel baseballs to all fields; squared up contact on Sunday to right field and on a deep triple to left. He’s an above-average runner who moves well around the bases and in the outfield. Defensively, showed good range on routes to both sides; throws also carried. Threw out a runner at home, efficiently funneling a ground ball to throwing position.
