Uncommitted. Kamlay helped Franklin clinch the series win over conference rival Oak Creek. During the game Kamlay tossed a complete game on the mound allowing two runs on only five hits while striking out seven batters. Kamlay improved to 5-0 on the mound this year with a 0.75 ERA.

Kamlay is an athletic and toolsy two way prospect in the state. Kamlay has an athletic build at 5-foot-10, 175 pounds, he showed off that athleticism by running the third fastest 60 yard dash at the event at 6.80 seconds. He then showcased his barrel feel and barrel control with a loose and fluid swing hitting line drives through the middle of the field and turn on balls for pull side power. He continued his notable performance during infield defense by showcasing his smooth actions with a quick first step and a strong throwing arm across the infield (87 mph). On the mound, Kamlay can back spin his fastball up to 85 mph which shows ride and carry through the zone. His curveball has a shorter sharper slurvy look and shape to the break and his change up has quality lateral fade to the pitch. Overall, Kamlay’s performance was solid and opened some eyes at the event.

Kamlay is a prominent athlete in the state’s incoming junior class, inside a strong/compact 5-foot-10, 165-pound build. His athleticism creates some two-way capabilities, but Kamlay has especially impressed on the mound to this point. At this event, Kamlay sat 84-85 mph and showed the feel to spin an above-average curveball (2,139 rpm on average) in the 75-77 range. With the help of his aforementioned athleticism, Kamlay raced to a 6.95 time in the 60-yard dash, which was the day’s fastest among ‘24s.

 He’s a dynamic athlete around the diamond, running a 6.73 in the 60-yard dash and ranging well on the infield with crisp, clean throws that peaked at 86 mph. He showed strong hands and a direct attack to the ball with barrel speed as high as 77 mph, producing hard contact when on time. His arm strength translated to the mound later on in his workout, as Kamlay pumped his fastball in at 83-84 mph from a short, quick arm slot.
