West Milwaukee Preseason ID: Preview
February 16, 2022
On Saturday, February 19th, the PBR Wisconsin staff will travel to STiKS Academy in Waukesha, WI to host the annual West Milwaukee Preseason ID - an event that’s become a staple on our winter calendar. This event is open to all current high school grad classes and, on an annual basis, has consistently provided us a quality up-to-date look at some of the area’s top talents.

EVENT HISTORY
This will be the fourth time we’ve run this event and, since its inception, has never failed to draw quality talent. Both RHP Jonah Conradt (P27 Academy, SC, 2023) and RHP Dylan Questad (Waterford, 2023) toed the rubber last here and they’re both committed to Arkansas, one of the nation’s top college programs.
Several PBR Future Games participants have emerged from this event in its history, with RHP Luke Agnew (Marquette University, 2023; Wichita State) and LHP Gavyn Bowen (Pewaukee, 2023; UAB) continuing that trend last year. A handful of top-50 prospects from the state’s senior class were also in attendance last year: LHP Willard Peterson (Evansville HS; Evansville), C Alec Campbell (Milton; Winona State), C Charlie Jarvis (Catholic Memorial), and C Heath Venne (Muskego; Wisconsin-La Crosse).
2022 ROSTER
A member of last year’s PBR Future Games squad, we’re set to see C Dominic Kibler (New Berlin West, 2023; Kent State) at STiKS on Saturday. The left-handed hitting backstop owns one of the highest hit tools in the state’s junior class, routinely making quality contact in our looks. We’ll also get an up-close look at RHP Adam Switalski (Westosha Central, 2023), who put together a quality showing at The Rock this fall and is committed to Indiana.
There are a few intriguing uncommitted names representing the state’s 2023 class on this event roster, such as INF/RHP Connor Olson (Arrowhead), 1B/RHP EJ Kuster (Greendale), 1B Eli Pantzlaff (Waukesha West), RHP Zachary Rechner (Catholic Memorial), and RHP Camden Broske (West Bend West).
OF/RHP Broden Jackson (Milton, 2024) made a loud impression at one of our fall events last year and we’ll get another look at him this Saturday, too. Built at a physical 6-foot-2, 200-pounds, Jackson owns a skill-set that resembles his strength in stature - he reached a 98 mph max exit velocity in BP and ran his fastball up to 87 mph later on in his workout. We’re eager to see the strides he’s made with a full off-season under his belt.
SS/RHP Cooper Kamlay (Franklin, 2024) saw innings as a freshman for a quality Sabers squad last spring and enters Saturday as one of the notable names on this roster. He’s a wiry athlete with strong defensive skills on the infield and a whippy arm that’s been up to 85 mph with his fastball, all while spinning a quality breaking ball to pair.
A few members of Wisconsin’s 2025 class that we’ve become familiar with over the last year or so will also be in attendance Saturday. RHP Evan Lauer (Germantown) was one of Team Wisconsin’s main standouts at the PBR Junior Future Games and he impressed our scouts at the Southern Wisconsin Open in the fall, too. C Connor Harvie (Waterford) was another winner from that same fall event on both sides of the ball, particularly with how he handled some high quality arms in a bullpen setting.

Partners like TrackMan, Blast Motion, and Vizual Edge have helped both our in-event evaluation process, as well the compilation of our post-event scouting reports – and they're also a tool for our players to learn more about their measured and collected data, that can be applied to improve upon their game.
Finally, masks are strongly encouraged during non-baseball activity. We will facilitate a contact-less check-in. Wear baseball clothes; assigned and numbered PBR jerseys will be provided.
