Iwinski is another uncommitted 2022 arm who’s stuff has considerably ticked up since our last look. Iwinski topped out at 83 mph in October, and the 6-foot-1, 180-pound right-hander reached an 88 high on Sunday, comfortably cruising at 86-87 throughout his bullpen. He’s still consistently harnessing feel for his secondary pitches, but the upside and athleticism on the mound are noteworthy. Iwinski also swings a loose righty bat that’s trending upward; he recorded a max exit speed of 91.4 mph, averaging 84.8, from a really smooth, fluid swing that peppered the middle of the field with line-drive contact. His athleticism works on the infield, and he reached an 85 mph high to first as well.

Positional Profile: INF/RHP
Body: 6-0, 165-pounds. Wiry, lanky levers; physical projection.
Delivery: Staggered footing from the left edge of the rubber; simple pace and rhythm to a high knee balance point, leans back at peak, slight hip turn. Drops and drives with level shoulders, slightly closed landing, creates flexion in hip/shoulder at plant; bent lead leg at plant.
Arm Action: RH. Long, compact circle to an over-the-top slot; loose, quick arm with max elbow layback.
FB: T83, 80-81 mph. Natural arm-side run with substantial carry through the zone; averaged 19.7 inches of induced vertical break at an average spin rate of 1,994 rpm.
CB: 60-64 mph. Still honing the feel for spin; is still able to generate above-average vertical and horizontal break. Action is currently more gradual from decelerated motion.
CH: 70-72 mph. Similar arm speed and slot; slight deceleration. Tunnels well off fastball with matching movement profile.

Hit: RH. Wide/balanced base; hands set low in static setup. Weight-shift load back, leg kicks inward, abrupt stride to even. Some length in bat path, level and long through impact. Creates some bat speed. Looks to work the middle of the field helping him spray line-drive contact around.
Power: 87 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Arm: RH. INF - 77 mph. Short arm action from a high 3/4 slot.
Defense: Fluid gather, low to ground, tendency to sit back rather than attack it; smooth funnel, shuffle through exchange, typically packs at draw.
Run: 7.18 runner in the 60. Long strides, efficient gait.

Positional Profile: SS/RHP

FB: T80, 79-80 mph. Plays straight.
CB: 68-70 mph. Thrown with fastball arm speed. 12/6 shape, some depth.

Hit: RHH. Slightly open balanced setup, bars at load, quick toe-tap trigger.  Long and uphill path, extension through contact, showed some juice to the pull-side.
Power: 81 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Arm: RH. INF - 74 mph. Compact arm action, 3/4 slot.
