8/15/16 - Verbally committed to Eastern Illinois.
7/7/16 - 5-foot-11, 160-pound outfielder, has been clocked at 6.70 60 in the past. Speed translates to game play as he stretched a single into a double on a line drive hit to the right center.
2/21/16 - 5-foot-11, 155-pound right-handed hitting outfielder with a lanky, athletic frame. Showed off athleticism running an event best 6.70 60-yard dash. Offensively hits form a balanced setup with a short stride and average balance. Line drive gap to gap hitter with a short path and a fast bat. Showed strength thru contact at 86 mph from a tee. Defensively has a long arm action from a low ¾ slot. Plays thru the ball with quick footwork and average hands. Threw 80 mph from the outfield.
3/1/15 - Young build, 5-foot-9, 135-pound outfielder, thin athletic frame. Plus foot speed for his age, 6.90 runner as a freshman. Footspeed hasn’t translated yet in the outfield, hesitant playing through the baseball, expect outfield aggressiveness to improve, showed good footspeed and will eventually show in outfield actions. Arm played at 73 mph from the crowhop, high ¾ slot, firm arm action. Offensively hits from the right side, wide setup, short stride. Line drive hitter stays on top of the baseball well, short path, occasional pull approach, good barrel control. 73 mph exit velocity from the tee. Young prospect with footspeed, good follow in the 2018 class.
5.7.14 - 5-foot-7, 120-pound, athletic, multi-positional player, athletic lower half with advanced foot speed for his age. Posted the fastest 60 time at the event, running a 7.1 60. At the plate he hits from a wide stance, short stride. Swing is short and quick, hitting line drives from gap-to-gap with above average bat speed. Exit velocity was 72 mph off a tee. From the outfield he showed solid actions with athletic feet. Arm works short and stiff, high ¾ slot, 71 mph. On the infield showed the ability to play through balls athletically with solid hands. Arm works 67 mph across the diamond.
Summer 2020: 70-grade runner who sped to a 6.60 sixty during Eastern Illinois’ scout day last fall. Before injuring his knee this summer which required meniscus surgery, the athletic bodied 6-foot-2, 190-pound center fielder posted a 1.275 OPS with a double, triple, home run and seven RBI in 15 at-bats over three games. He also stole three bases in three attempts. He projects to remain in center field at the next level with a below average arm, but plenty of speed to cover both gaps. Health-wise, Emme is scheduled to return mid-October to baseball workouts.
